Get advice at the new ‘Dataharvest Cafés’

At this year’s European Investigative Journalism Conference, there will be a new way to find support for your work. For the 15th edition of the conference, journalists and colleagues will have the opportunity to get specific, tailored support from specialists at the new Dataharvest Cafés.

These Cafés will serve as clinics where you can speak one on one, or as a team, with an expert who can answer your questions and help you get on the right path to solving an issue.

What support can you get?

This year, we’ll launch the Cafés with the following topics:

  • legal support
  • security and privacy
  • fundraising and finance
  • EU and FOI

How can you get a spot?

It’s important to know that the Dataharvest Cafés come in two types:

The legal café takes place on Friday 23, and is available as a private, booked slot away from the main networking spaces to safeguard your work and any sensitive information. To book a slot, you can contact us at info@dataharvest.eu

The security / privacy, fundraising / finance and EU / FOI cafés will take place on Saturday 24 in the Mediaforum, on the ground floor across two drop-in sessions at break times. You won’t need to book a slot for these, but they’re likely to be popular, so try to arrive as soon as you can to avoid disappointment. To find the right café among the Mediaforum crowds, just look for roll ups with the corresponding name!

What else do you need to know?
