Dataharvest 2024 sold out

It’s official: Dataharvest 2024 is our most popular ever! Tickets for the conference have sold out a record three months before the conference doors open on 31 May. In addition, we received a record number of pitches for sessions: over 300.

The Arena Dataharvest team is astounded and delighted by how quickly tickets have sold out this year. Last year tickets sold out six weeks before the conference began, which was itself a record. Dataharvest’s popularity shows the need and enthusiasm for European investigative and data journalists to meet, exchange skills and ideas, and build collaborations.

“Thank you for your trust and support,” say conference organisers Jelena Prtoric and Trine Smistrup from Arena for Journalism in Europe. “We cannot believe we sold out the conference before even publishing the programme! We are flattered, and we hope to fulfil your expectations.”

Sadly we cannot offer everyone a ticket, with limitations of the size of our venue at Thomas More University, and most importantly, our desire to keep the conference spirit and atmosphere which makes Dataharvest great in the first place.

For those still hoping for a ticket, there is a waiting list, and those on the list will be contacted when a ticket comes up.

But there are other opportunities coming up to meet and connect. If you investigate climate, environment, or energy, look out for Dataharvest’s sister conference, the Climate Arena, which will take place in Bologna, Italy, on October 18-19, 2024. The conference is arranged by the Arena Climate Network and is the place to meet and develop ideas around these crucial topics. Subscribe to the Arena Climate newsletter to hear more.

Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, or wished they could come to this year’s Dataharvest. For those who can’t make it this year, we can’t wait to see you next year, and for those who did manage to get a ticket: See you in Mechelen!
