Arena for Journalism in Europe presents the Climate Arena Conference 2024 program, set to take place in Bologna, Italy, on October 18-19.
This year’s program, curated by the Arena Climate Network, promises an engaging mix of panels, workshops, and roundtables, all tailored to enhance climate reporting.
The third edition of the conference features over 25 sessions across two days, addressing diverse topics such as the EU chemicals agenda, food systems, land use, recycling industry and establishing climate networks. Each session is designed to equip journalists with practical tools, methodologies, and best practices.
The Climate Arena aims to shape the future of climate journalism in Europe. The conference, modeled after the successful Dataharvest event, focuses on actionable insights rather than theoretical discussions. Participants will gain hands-on experience, share resources, and build connections for future collaborations.
Additionally, the day before the main event, the Climate Arena fellowship program will host workshops and training for selected fellows. This initiative received 95 applications, showcasing a diverse array of story ideas and investigative ambitions.
Join us in Bologna to push the boundaries of climate reporting and collaborate on groundbreaking cross-border investigations. Together, we can expose environmental crimes, reveal greenwashing, and empower audiences to hold power accountable.
